My name
is Brian Ciccotelli. I grew up in West Haven, CT. Now I live in New York City (when I’m not
traveling) with my beautiful wife. I
had cancer when I was 18. I
survived. I heard one time that when
people almost die, they get a new appreciation for life. Maybe that’s why I travel the world. Maybe I’m just curious about what else is
out there. Maybe I’m secretly
running away from something. Who
knows? I don’t. I do know that I love traveling. And hopefully I can keep doing it.

Why do I
take pictures? So many people have no idea just how amazingly
beautiful this world is. I take
pictures partly to show them and inspire them to go there themselves. I also take pictures as my souvenirs. Some people collect spoons, others buy
shirts. I take pictures. Honestly though, in my head, the main
reason I take pictures is because it’s my way to let God know that I
appreciate his handiwork. He made it
for us, and so many of us take it for granted.

How do I
afford to travel so much? It’s a priority. Some people want a nice car, a nice
apartment, jewelry, or whatever.
They spend their money on those things. I spend my money on traveling. And I’ve done it enough that I know how to
do it without spending a fortune, so there’s money left over for a decent
car, a decent apartment, etc.

What
does your wife think about your addiction to travel? My wife loves to travel as much as I do. In the
short time we’ve been together, we’ve already been to three tropical
islands, six different countries, and two continents.

More
about me: I go to BYU (still –
via internet classes). I plan on
graduating sometime in the distant future with a Bachelor’s of General
Studies with an emphasis in Writing.
My loves include the beach, storms, good music, art, hugs, and
making you smile. I don’t like
people who litter.
